- Our 8th graders will be participating in the "Why Know" program this week during PE if they have permission to do so. This is a national abstinence program.
- On Tuesday our students will be going to DCHS to watch the play put on by the drama department. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to see older students perform. The cost is $1.00.
- On Tuesday several of our chorus students will be participating in the district chorus event.
- On Wednesday the Dade County Sheriff's Department is sponsoring an assembly featuring Chris Sandy. Chris speaks to students regarding the consequences of making poor decisions.
- There will be a dance on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00. Admission is $5.00 and pizza and soft drinks will be sold. We look forward to having a good turn out!
- Basketball and wrestling are in full swing.
- Thanksgiving break is Nov. 21, 22, and 23.
- There will be a parent's workshop on Monday Nov. 26 from 7:00-8:00 in the media center. While the workshop will be informative for all parents, it will be of particular interest to the parents of 8th graders as the topic will be the new graduation requirements. These new requirements go in effect with the current 8th grade class.
