The end of the first nine weeks is Friday, October 5. We will be involved in Thinkgate testing this week. 7th grade will be on regular schedule and will test Tuesday & Wednesday (post-test), Thursday and Friday (pre-test). 6th and 8th grade will be on a block time schedule and will test Thursday (post-test) and Friday (pre-test).

Tuesday, October 2, is FTE day. The funding for our school will be based on the number of students in attendance on Tuesday. This will also be our college shirt/cap day. Mrs. JVR, our graduation coach, suggests that you speak to your child about college during dinner. Ask questions and find out what your youngster knows about college and its importance. If you must schedule an appointment on that day, please try to schedule it after 11:30.

Thursday, October 4, is our last home football game. We will be selling "fans" all week to be used at the pep rally on Thursday. The pep rally will be held during SFA. We had ordered the fans in early August to sell at the "hot weather" games for $2.00 as a fund raiser. Unfortunately, the fans did not arrive until last week. We will sell to the student body for $1.00 and later at the game for $2.00. Funds go to the DMS Athletics.

Please check with your child to see if he/she owes any money in the cafeteria.

Red Ribbon Week is October 22-26.

Early release and Parent/Teacher conference day is October 25.

If your child brought home a letter regarding immunization or missing permanent folder information, please take care of what is missing and send the requested documentation to the school as soon as possible.

Pictures or picture money is due by Friday, October 5.

Retakes are scheduled for October 17.
