Our students were very focused during the recent CRCT! Thank you for getting your child to school on time and ready for the testing. We are hoping to have the results by mid-May. I'd like to thank all of our teachers and students for their hard work and especially Mrs. Hopper, our guidance counselor for getting all of the teachers trained and the testing materials prepared.

We are having our final Marketplace of the school year. If you get a chance, please come and view the "Greenovations" on Thursday, May 1. We will hold an evening viewing from after school to 7:00 in the gym. Also during that time, you can view student art work in the media center.

5th graders from Dade Elementary and Davis Elementary will be visiting the middle school on Thursday to view the Marketplace.

Progress reports will go out on Wednesday, April 30. There will not be many grades on this report as much of the time so far this nine weeks has been used to prepare and review for the CRCT.

6th grade field day will be Wednesday, April 20. 7th grade field day will be Thursday, May 1. 8th grade field day will be Monday, May 5.

8th graders will be going on a field trip to 6 Flags on Friday. This field trip is in conjunction with a science day that 6 Flags hosts.

We called in nearly 100 students on Friday who have library books that need to be turned in as soon as possible. As I mentioned recently, the carpet in the media center will be replaced this summer and new shelves installed. Our media staff must not only inventory all of the books, but must pack them, relocate this to another location, and break down the present shelving, so it is critical that we do this end of the school activity a few weeks early. Please launch a book search at home if your child was one who was notified that he/she had a book out.

The Spring Sports Recognition will be on Monday, May 12, with light refreshments being served at 6:30 and the program beginning at 7:00.
