We are preparing for the CRCT! The testing begins on Monday, April 21 and goes through Friday, April 25. Testing will begin at approximately 8:30 and end at approximately 11:00. If at all possible, try to schedule any medical/dental appointments for the afternoon. Students should follow their normal routines, but it would be great if parents would monitor bedtimes to make sure they get plenty of rest!

As I mentioned last week, we are beginning to see the results of the SPLOST at DMS! All of our classrooms have been supplied with brand new computers. The keyboarding class has new computers and both of the computer labs are scheduled to be up and running in the next few weeks. The media center will also be sporting new computers, but it will have to wait until next year because as soon as school is out, the old carpet in the media center will be taken up and tile will be put down. New tile will also be installed in the new 7th grade wing. By the beginning of the next school year, LCD projectors will be installed in each classroom. During the upcoming school year, we will provide teachers with professional development so that they will be able to use this technology in the day to day instructional program. The last dance of the year will be April 25 from 7:00 - 9:00 in the DMS gym.
