Students at Dade Middle School are divided into two teams per grade level. Each team spends five class periods each day in the five basic academic areas:

• Language Arts
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Studies
• Reading

Students also have the opportunity to participate in the following "Connections" classes during their educational career at the middle school:

• Art
• Band
• Chorus
• Citizenship
• Computer Keyboarding
• Physical Education
• Study Skills

Dade Middle School also offers a full slate of special needs classes.

A special Skills for Adolescence (SFA) class is available, providing extra assistance in reading and mathematics.
